We are waiting for The Donald to wake up.....in store for us, after that huge 4 digit figure sell off on the Dow.......is a plethora of Tweets..This should keep us going through the fire.

Closer home, today, we slide below 2360 at the NSE20Pray .........in the absence of any positive news on the Corona virus.

Early action on the NSE isn't encouraging for the bulls.

Nifty and sensex have both had a multi year bull charge in similar fashion to US market. With the Indian economy slowing down for three years back to back a correction was in order. Religious and civil tension in the country will only exacerbate the pounding.

The more promising long plays are in the Chinese market...the irony. Shanghai composite has been tanking since 2015 and will bottom out faster than most markets.

I must admit I like seeing the green in banking stocks, feel like offloading a few and re-enter later coz I am not sure this green is gonna last long. Then I buy Centum, Unga and BAT.

Is this wise?

I do not know Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly . The past one year has been absolutely dreadful so it is good to see some positive change. Anyway, I have bitten the bullet and will sell a few, let me enjoy while it lasts since I am not sure we will see this green again, at least in the near future and early 2020.

Ride the wave first then sell once the excitement is fizzling out towards the end of November.

Nimetoka, wale wamebaki all the best and see you end of year/early 2020. That was a sweet journey and reward for being patient for the last one year. Kesho I am also offloading some Safaricom as it seems the results will be good

It seems I did make good decision after all, offloaded 90% of my shares at peak price then and buy early 2020. Glad to see shares retracting and looking very attractive. Shida ni sina pesaLaughing out loudly Laughing out loudly . Very good prices now 27th Feb:
1. Centum 25.55
2. Safcom 28.10 (but should really go lower)--Goes below 28 in trading today.
3. Equity 48 Check the plunge on Equity share price today
4 KCB 46.5 (I can't believe it's even lower than Equity Laughing out loudly but I won't buy KCB)
5. NCBA 35.00
6. I$M 50
7 BAT 490 (I hope it goes lower).

The Lost Decade for the NSE. Without Safaricom, would we be looking at 2,000 or lower?

Praying we don't lose this one as well.

That's the beauty of holding solid firms long-term. As their earnings grow over time, so does your DY. One of my holdings of over 10 years has been giving me between 12-15%.

Of course, we want higher dividends as time passes but like you I have some shares bought years ago that are yielding sweet dividends on the original purchase price. Long-term investing in good firms does pay dividends. Applause

USDKES bulls in charge. Currently at 103.05. Interesting that foreigners have been net sellers over the past week at the NSE.

Exporters eg WTK, Kakuzi and KTC will benefit but importers will be hurt.
