It is being said he is unwell.Rumours being that it's a drug related problem.

Whatever the case or source of ailment....bottom line is he is unwell and not able to attend.

Our society today has several of this cases with every other family having a victim.

Time for us as a society to think hard where we are failing and take corrective action.

Watching the news and how the man has been portrayed by the media, one cannot help but notice that the leadership of the country is predominantly composed of sycophants.

Let the man rest. No amount of praise posthumously will change who he was.

Secondly the guy who read the speech is his nephew, despite being a governor of a neighbouring county.

All these years and you guys haven't understood Kibaki?
The guy shields his family so much. Even Jimmy was told to hold back from politics.

[quote=sqft]He grabbed public and private land to put up schools using public funds and staffed the schools with govt teachers then later claimed the schools were private. eg Kabarak, Sacho, sunshine etc. The schools should be returned to the tax payer.

Sacho specifically should be returned to the public. It has always been public. The family should also be surcharged for the public resources used on Kabarak schools.
