Now, I suspect that if this is true then Legio Maria is ideologically stronger than Garvey's 'Pan Africanism'.

This is the guy who brought about Rastafarianism? Then that's original unlike the offshoot of Catholicism!

I doubt if Garvey brought about Rastafarianism. The movement came out the Ethiopian movement championed from South Africa by Methodists and Anglicans.

The major things that Garvey bought are the ideas of war and bloodshed for independence and pan Africanism. Both turn out to be the worst scandals inherited by African leaders and scholars.

Rastafarian as we know it today was propagated by Reggae artistes such as Robert Nesta,Peter McIntosh and Winston Rodney among others in 1970s. They were previously known as 'rude boys'
