Waititu impeached by Senate!!!

Moral of the story. Don't use the words "honestly speaking" in your statements.

Even Wambora was impeached by the senate

The Wabora case raised the bar pretty high but our MCA's and Senators seem not to have read the memo.

For impeachment to stand, the crimes on which it is based have to first be proved by a competent authority, namely a court of law. The Senate is not a court of law.

All Waititu needs now is a good lawyer.

Three key violations;

1. County assembly seating not considered by Senate

2. Constitutional timelines not followed.

3. Guy wasn't given chance to place defence.

Wambora precedence can be used to throw the process out on technicalities.

The Waititu case is politically and legally different from Wambora's
While Wambora's beef was with MCAs,Waititu ouster was pushed by voters and MCAs had no choice but to comply. Secondly, the Mbeere/Embu divide also played a role in the Wambora case.

Court of Appeal judges had this to say while annulling the impeachment
"Collective responsibility is not a principle of individual responsibility. The tenders involved many parties thus the appellant was not individually liable,"

Waititu was implicated directly with the wife he has now disowned.

Why Waititu is disadvantaged, he is out of the system. He wont succeed.

Other Kenyans need to be educated on exactly what happened.

Twice some MCA's tried to impeach this fella. Twice they failed. Simply because he'd take them for lunch or they would disappear.

It was public forums that removed this guy. Some were even on TV. MCA's could not sleep as the electorate insisted that the guy be removed.

I'm not an expert at all this legal stuff. But I can assure you without a shadow of a doubt, the voters in Kiambu do not want this fella.

If Nyoro is sworn in and it is found that it had been illegal, at least the voters would have had 1 more year without this denier of children.

That is what tanga tanga is not getting in their thick skulls. The voters don't want him. Any attempt to return him legally or otherwise shall only take more of them down Waititu's path.

Why do you think the senators from Kiambu changed their tune? They were against it initially.

All the above may make political and even emotional sense. But try selling it to a sober judge.

Ati the people wanted Waititu removed, so the Senate acted. Under which law? And what about the presumption of 'innocent till proven guilty?'

I am from Kiambu and I certainly want Waititu to go. But not through extra legal means.

Otherwise embarking on such a slippery slope could come back to bite you and me in the gluteus maximus one day.

You want Waititu impeached? My advise to Kiambuians is wait to exercise that power through the ballot.

When did he say that? Has the case been presented to him yet? How did he decide on a matter which is not yet in court? At least in Embu, Wambora obtained a court order stopping the swearing in.

I actually hope that the Court annuls the impeachment so that Kiambu voters can feel the full effect of their choice

The Judge actually has a good reason to recuse himself from the swearing-in since he is the one handling Waititu's corruption case.

There is nothing about the merit of the impeachment.

Judge argued that the swearing in was hurried and not gazzeted.
Now it is done and Nyoro could be sworn in tomorrow at 10am.

I am now puzzled how will things will end up today.
I tried to tell the kiambu people that kabuffalo was the best to finish his job but they did not listen.
There is a curse with this kiambu politicians. Wambui wa mushahara her first agenda in parliament was to raise her salary.but we all knew waititu was greedy but not that stupid.
