He sells 2 million shillings worth of fish per week from his fish ponds. These are also exported. He has a hardwood workshop that employs 200 people. This workshop has machines from Germany and Italy. These hardwood products are also exported. People in Europe are tired of fake products from China and they don't have wood in their countries so Ruto has identified a lucrative market there and he is supplying it. He has an Insurance company that he formed soon after leaving the University. He has rental houses on Jogoo Road. He has too much money he needs to give some to churches to reduce the amount.
