A 15-year-old girl was on Thursday night allegedly molested inside a cell at Kilifi police station.

The girl, according to her parents, was taken to the station to be disciplined after disrespecting them.

Confirming the incident, Kilifi North police commander Njoroge Ngigi said already an inquiry file had been opened over the matter.

This parents need help...

A lot of folks in the 80's & 90's used to do this. For a few shilling the local OCS would discipline your truant boy (mostly boys then)..doesn't make it right.

That girl will resent her parents in a manner that will make them curse they day they brought her into this world. Her anger and revenge will be channeled towards them and they deserve it.
It's annoying to even think about it. Leaving her with animals in the name of discipline and expecting her not to fall prey. Very shenzi of the parents.
It's no wonder she is rebellious if this is how they reason.

Parents are simply way too retarted to realise the whole potential of all this things and you really need to be carefull with anything here - I am totally disconnected with everything there probably, I do want to make it going really, how you can leave underage girl with that much ?

A few years ago, parents would take their rowdy children to the police station for a thorough beating - and this was for a few hours, not overnight and mostly it was boys, i actually never heard of a girl going through this, and if the child is still 'kichwa ngumu' after the beating, they would be sent to an approved school(do we still have approved schools btw?)

That said, this happened then, not now and a lot has changed over the years.

I'm wondering how a 15yr old girl has become so unruly that a whole family cannot contain her. But what do i know?

After the abuse in police cells, the family has just planted an even bigger bitter seed inside this girl.

I hope she finds help :(
