Every one in this government is so embroiled in this BBI saga that it seems the platic bags are back. Every mama mboga is happy to pack your groceries in them.
The president needs to fire some individuals asap
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

In current regime, many orders are issue are quickly forgotten - no one follow through.

To digress a bit, I boarded a Matatu from Ngong town to Kiserian the other day in the morning and what I saw was just too much.
4 police road blocks (for a 10KM trip), sadly our Matatu was flagged down in all the four temporary check points and Konda would walk out, talk to the officer 'in their language', before proceeding with the trip.

On a lighter note, I noted how the Konda would bang the car as he say Twende!!, after each encounter - I think he was protesting in his own ways.

Even in plastic paper bag menace, we will need to find a better way of expressing our dissatisfaction with the system.
....He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion..

Uhuru is being pressured by trump to reverse restrictions on plastic so that American oil companies can use Kenya as their main operating area to dump plastic waste all over Africa.

Key paragraphs

Quote:
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — The oil industry has asked the United States to pressure Kenya to change its world-leading stance against the plastic waste that litters Africa, according to environmentalists who fear the continent will be used as a dumping ground.

Quote:
“We anticipate that Kenya could serve in the future as a hub for supplying U.S.-made chemicals and plastics to other markets in Africa,” the letter says. It was first obtained by Unearthed, an affiliate of the Greenpeace environmental organization. The council repeated its request in a public commenting session in June.
