Great move. Would have hoped QR bought a stake in KQ but that seems impossible now

Qatar Airways had shown strong interest but GoK mandarins refused.

Never sell a birth right. Its in the good book

KQ sold London Heathrow slot

At the highest price ever sold for a Heathrow slot, and were subsequently offered use of one of the many KLM slots, on goodwill basis. Its good to give full details

KQ can't park a plane overnight

Planes were meant to be in the sky, flying
Isn't LHR (airspace) closed from midnight to 6am?

Some things you just Google in private. Si lazima uanike upungufu

In other words, KQ's doesn't have the ability to "park" an airplane overnight at LHR after selling off the LHR slot.

Why would they even need to park it? The aircraft are better utilized now.

Better utilized to make astronomical losses.... 😊😊

How is language related to prosperity elder @Obiero? Nairobi, Kiambu and Mombasa counties are headed by governors who can't recite abcde.....to z properly. They are ruling intellectuals from top notch learning institutions. Tafakari hayo!

Qatar Airways increases Mombasa flights to five
Qatar Airways is set to increase its flights between Mombasa and Doha in December, stepping up competition for struggling national carrier Kenya Airways. The Middle East carrier, which operates three daily flights to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, said they would be flying to Mombasa five times a week, up from four. The additional flight will run from December 20 to March 27. “The increase in frequency will allow passengers to enjoy the wonders that this coastal city has to offer, and locals will have more opportunities to enjoy Qatar Airways’ extensive global network of more than 160 destinations,” said group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker in a statement yesterday. This is expected to exert pressure on KQ.
