Cardinal....suprisingly that was the first thing that came to my mind when i heard our borders will now be open to our neighbours. From what i've seen so far women from TZ are not that bad....while i've also heard alot of good things about women in Rwanda.

What is with you people.

It only takes, what, 15 minutes for an ejaculation.

Now making money.

The deal. The negotiation. The legal niceties. The orgasm that is transfer of legal tender. The ultimate orgasm, when both parties append their respective signatures.

Screw marriage. Lets make money.

Guys are being very unfair to western ladies. Akitoa nguo, unasahau sura. Guaranteed.

Btw- the nyeri husband-beater rumour is only true of the Tetu and Othaya ladies...

Having dated men from both sides of the divide, i.e Mountain and Western men, I completely agree with @Wendz....

Its not about the money... its about how they treat their women. Men from Western (at least the ones I know) pride themselves in treating their women right....

Disclaimer...I am not stereotyping, its just how I see it...

Such folly! Trying to generalise aspects of human behaviour to a particular community/ group is a lost cause. Esp now that we live in a cosmopolitan towns/cities which is a melting point for all our diverse cultures. In fact now we have class tribes, not ethnic ones.

Not all westerners know how to treat a woman right - for every one such westerner there's one abusing and mistreating his (mukhobero killed his, sio?), while for every mountain man who mistreats his woman there's one who will do all for his woman (remember the dedication of W.Kihoro whose wife died after being in a coma for 4 yrs following the Busia plane crash?). For every jeng who stays true to his woman, there's another one who has a harem of them (Akuku Danger?)...also, kaleos/jengs/taitas/kaos - heck everyone (except sudanese!) all have yellow yellows - why assume the ones in western are necessarily from central? Mimi anasangaa.

I agree with Intelligentsia. If we all listed the ethnicity of the neighbors we have ever lived next to that had violent relationships, it might throw many stereotypes listed here into disarray. Well, at least my list would.

This story was on some newspaper [Monday 28th June 2010 - I think]. The story is simple. Men in central province are drinking TOO much - local brews and bottled Naivasha "wines" no less!! They've totally lost focus - which is something you'd expect of someone whose always drank by 9:00 am. Actually, they have a simple motto: Avoid hangovers, stay drank! Worse still, I'm made to understand that the brews are "anti-viagras" - apparently in some villages it would be a mini-miracle to see a baby.

How accurate is this story? Believe me it's very accurate. I have visited some villages in central Kenya and the situation is horrible!!

But having said that, is it really an issue that someone from western [or any other area] marries someone from central [or any other area]. Should we even be discussing this? This is Kenya. Marry the person you fancy. Heck, marry from China or wherever - if that is where you've found love.

What we should be discussing is the alcoholism problem in Central province and Kenya as a whole. This other manenos should just serve as evidence of the existence of the problem - nothing more!

widely off the mark dude. we are talking uprtown chicks and dudes. Guys who have been to college not class 8 drop outs taking kumi kumi in Muranga. The statistics I quoted are from my college class

I choose to digress. From what i have heard, taita women are the top of the league. They are raised since birth to take care of their man, from matters of the bedroom to his stomach,i mean literally! That and of course their outstanding beauty.

Back to the current discussion....

Shame on you

What of those who flopped these 'trainings'...There's no one community that can claim monopoly to bedroom matters, its all in the head and fed by stereotypes.

Assume we take a dude and let him sample a few descendants of Eve incognito & in turns in a dark room and the duddettes not to utter a single word during the entire bedminton. Afterwards ask the man who he thinks is from what place in the world based on their coital performance - chances are good he won't know. His answers will be limited to the communities he has interacted with - a very miniscule part of the world population!
