Interesting to see how Wanjiku is broke and dumb https://www.businessdail...0006-9ul137z/index.html
Quote:“The structure of M-Akiba uptake has about 68 percent of Kenyans taking up bonds worth between Sh3,000 and Sh20,000, while 24 percent of the investors bought bonds worth between Sh20,001 to Sh100,000, and the remaining eight percent invested above Sh100,000,” said CDSC. @maka, explain this tweet from @geonal to Wanjiku Quote:So, the M-Akiba bond unit sells for 1.0382 plus settlement fees today...If Kes 10,000 earns 10% per year, it means the net income is 1000 less 420ish, which is KES 580 per year, before withdrawal fees? You give away money for a whole year to get 5.5.%? Lower than inflation.

Anyway, they should probably just go for fixed deposit accounts

Perhaps that's the dirty price.

chiaroscuro wrote:BTW: You're better off buy secondary instead of re-open3 How's buying at, let's say 1.03987 per unit better than buying the unit at 1.00000?? It is a curious fact that of all the illusions that beset mankind, none is quite as curious as that tendency to suppose that we are mentally and morally superior to those who differ from us in opinion.
