M7 has banned sports betting in UG. No licensing new sports' betting companies and no renewing licenses of the existing ones upon expiry. Now, this is what I call kusema na kutenda. Over to their neighbours, the jokers.

BBI will solve it

M7 is the African Trump. Doing what needs to be done, not listening to whiners.

I wonder how the social media tax is going

Social Media is working very well in UG. 20b usd raised in first quarter. Target of raising 70b usd by 3rd quarter. They say collections are going up every month.

Meanwhile U. K to introduce 2% tax on revenue derived from UK customers by Google, FB et al.

Where are the naysayers on imposing tax on these social media companies.

I think Africa's Trump is our other neighbour. M7 is just a dictator who doesn't realize that that time past.

No way! That mathematics can't be right. $20b in a quarter? From Uganda? From data? Not possible. That's like Kshs. 2trillion.

See where the money from your poor brothers is going to.

Racing Point and SportsPesa have agreed on a new sponsorship deal for the F1 2019 season.
SportPesa is understood to be paying $8 million for its first year followed by $10m in 2020 and a further $12m if they remain for 2021.

They paid 80 billion to winners? I should start betting.

Quote:
KRA demands Sh10.3bn tax on SportPesa winners

The tax assessment covered 2015 and 2016 during which years SportPesa disbursed Sh80 billion to winners, an amount that attracted Sh7.6 billion in tax.

KRA, in addition, imposed Sh1.5 billion penalties and interest of Sh1.1 billion, bringing the total tax due to Sh10.3 billion.

There is suddenly going to be a flood of money coming back to people's pockets. Where is it going to go? I think KBL, Keroche and Miraa and Muguka traders might notice a spike in demand.
