Commentator couldn't help but note..."he did not even flinch!"... when the coach saw his third penalty taker hit the crossbar in Japan's loss to Paraguay (3 5). And that camera flash introduced me to Takeshi Okada, one of the most vilified and second guessed coaches in this World Cup. He is bespectacled with the bookish looks of a math teacher, fired in first attempt at Japan's World Cup debut in 1998, hired after previous coach suffered a stroke last year. One month ago, Mr. Okada said he was ready to tender his resignation—and plenty of Japanese fans were demanding it. Now, the criticisms have given way to "in Okada we trust." http://online.wsj.com/ar...4575328652571719466.html

Quarter Final 4: Paraguay Vs Spain I could have preferred the Blue Samurais, but they need to practice their penalties first. Paraguay carrying the day for South America. Spain Vs Portugal was a 50/50 match and failed to impress. Happy Quarter Finals everyone! smile
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Any team practicing for penalities is eliminated before they even have a chance to take them. so the teams that will sail thro' should have planned to win with the 1st 90min. and i think thats what Brazil has done.

Welcome home Blue SAMURAI. We are proud of you.You gave your best. Despite less talented players, teamwork and displine proved can win a game. African teams have the best individual talents but indispline ,pride ,lack of teamwork, tribelism etc in the field results to defeat. I heard Kalou and Toure are enemies as one supports rebels while the other one Gover. But you cant blame them as that `TALENT` is magnified in Africans way of life

When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.
