The surgery was a minor one, to relieve pressure next to the brain. Wish you a quick recovery Agwambo. If you are an eagle don't hang around with chickens; chickens don't fly....

I think we have a diagnosis: Mr Olunya said the prime minister had checked himself into hospital on Monday afternoon, complaining of a headache and fatigue. He said there had been a build-up of pressure, which was relieved when some fluid was removed through a small opening in the skull. Mr Olunya said the pressure might have been caused by him hitting his head while in a car three weeks ago http://en.wikipedia.org/...Subarachnoid_hemorrhage

Good one, kenmac.
Now that you mention this, my conspiracy theory goes like this: After a few days, Raila will be flown abroad for further treatment. He will stay there for about 3 weeks. Just a few days before the referendum, he will return to Nairobi. Wananchi will be organized to throng JKIA to Uhuru park where Agwambo will address a mammoth rally that will galvanize the YES vote...

Let's put conspiracy theories aside for now.Although with Amolo u never know...I assume its tru and wish him quick recovery.Which makes me wonder where was Moi getting his energy from? The 2 guys are alike:populist, energetic, smart politicians with fear of delegation.Yet I never heard Moi getting affected by fatigue or dozing like Raila does.Ningependa kujua siri yake What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing

Pole Agwambo...wish you a swift recovery. We need you. This country needs you. Only you can save Kenya from heading into an abyss. God be with you. It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.

this sounds like a long standing extradural haematoma. Very common in elderly people caused by relatively minor trauma on the head especially during falls. Surgery is a 45 minute affair. Recovery very swift. Long term effects? Well, increased risk to epileptic fits, that may result in more head injuries and other repeat surgeries. Therein lies the curse to our nation, another semi vegetative president come 2012.

Murenj... Correct...very worrying. You can't touch the brain and it remains the same. Let us brave for a "Matiba" kind of president come 2012. Let us be prepared!!!

It's not a biggie. Some cases of haematoma are sorted out using drugs-no need for surgery.Unless its severity has been hidden from the public What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing

Does it mean that every time one's head gets knocked, there is increase in head pressure??
It would seem that there are other underlying causes to the PM's ailment, the public is being given a spin that it's a routine thing to drill the head.
The PM is a public figure, waseme ukweli.

@kadonye, Who else is out there? When i look at the effects corruption has done to my country, i feel like crying.Do you realise that it is almost impossible to get anything done without parting with "chai" in kenya! Kibaki has failed in this respect. He just looks the other way. We need someone like that prime minister or is it President of Singapore to turn things around. That is why i believe only Agwambo he can possibly do this.Do you have a better choice? It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.

@majimaji I concur with you,its NOT normal to drill a head especially if the the owner is still alive...and a such a public figure. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

When it comes to corruption, Raila is no better than Kibaki. If he was, we'd have had, at the very least, a reduction in corruption levels in his ministries. They are all the same, which is quite a shame
