Why? Assuming baba will not be in the ballot (although we know he will), who comes close to Dr WSR?

Not going to happen. He has been out too long. You need to keep on the inside lane. Even if someone was to prop him up, how do you sell him? What can you say he has done?

The next President will be a former Governor.

He was MP Gatundu South, Minister for finance and deputy Prime Minister. When was the last time Mudavadi was in Government?

There is no former governor who has the finances to mount a presidential campaign or attract the funding needed to carry out an effective presidential campaign. None.

Being intelligent is not contextual, you are either smart or dumb. Madvd belongs in the later group. I suspect he cannot win even if he were to run against himuselefusmile smile

Very charismatic, and a good orator too.

True. He memorized his speeches, didn't need speaking notes, the eloquence of Sir Winston Churchill.

The problem with Madvd is that he just can't pull a crowd.
He can't crack a joke in public, He seems too aloof or elitist for the common mwananchi and he doesn't seem keen on changing that.

He can't get strong enough allies and he therefore can't form the necessary alliances. At the moment he seems to have no right hand man or even anyone interested in being his right hand man.

As far as we care, he is riding on his old Father's name and Moi's patronage.

Apart from that last paragraph, I could swear you are describing Kibaki.
