This is expected and the market will be more bearish in the coming months .

I expect KCB as low as 36.50 this year, just a couple of months time or much earlier.

In times like this Mr Market does not respect good performance of individual counters. Its like a bad season to conform to cyclical CYCLE of Nairobi bourse.

We are edging towards the annual ritual....BUYERS MARKET, where you will see good stocks at unimaginable cheap prices .

For safaricom BELOW 27.00 cum normal and special dividends is a one off good deal. That is if you close the deal before Aug 30 book closure date.

This year when I pick up my KCB dividend early July , I will split it into 2 some for more KCB and the rest for safaricom. This is because am also expecting SPECIAL (no interim) dividend from KCB later this year of at least 1 Bob per share.

Strangest aspect is that its earnings season but still stocks are on a murderous fall..

NSE 20 share index closed at 2757, that is 8 points away from taking out the record low 2749. Once that bottom falls off the road to 2500 and below opens you will wish never to hear of NSE again.

NSE now is at record low of 4% of my portfolio. I sleep wellsmile smile

KCB Books closure was 29th April. So, we are trading ex-dividend. Anyone who was after dividends is busy offloading. Ex-dividend+NBK acquisition news = Excellent buying opportunity with a time horizon of one year. If it hits Ksh 36 I will load up more.

Safaricom waiting for it at ksh.21-22

This week it traded 19,378,500 shares at a price of 27.45 low and a high of 28.65.
Next week,three scenarios might unfold:
1.Supply might continue to be high as sellers who bought at 23 continue to take profits.
2.Those who sold at 29 might try to re-enter at 27.45 with dividends in minds.
3.Both scenario 1 and 2 might play out hence helping the price to stabilise upwards from 27.45.
