Yes depending on how their relationship is.

This man looks and sounds like he is terror in the house.His word is law and everybody else is there to seen but not to be heard.

Maybe its "freedom is coming" to his home now after years of oppression.

Secondly if he actually murdered the son as it is alleged,she may not want to cover up for him.

generally can testify but can't be compelled (forced). however, where it involves a child of the marriage then can be compelled (forced) to testify as well.

Hakimu - Kisii

This guy is a criminal lawyer. It will be very hard to get him on murder. He will make sure there is no evidence.
