NMG MAKES Ksh1.6bn profit before tax for 2018, down 16.4pc mostly due to bad debt by the government.

NMG BOARD proposes Sh5 dividend after posting Sh1.6bn profit before tax for 2018, down 16.4pc due to depressed regional economies.

"Performance was adversely impacted by depressed regional economies and the discontinuation of Government advertising from July 2018 due to non-payment of debts" - Tobiko
"NMG will invest about $ 2 million on digital infrastructure and assets." - Group Finance Director, Richard Tobiko

If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense

Interim 1.50bob
Final. 3.50 Bob (just declared)

IN 2017
Interim 2.50 Bob

Seems like it was a matter of time before this dividend aristocrat slashed the dividend payable. With sliding profitability the Writing has been on the wall.
