There is some quality out there that we need to appreciate. I watched Guinea Bissau vs Mozambique over the weekend and despite not knowing any of the players, the match was very entertaining with twists and turns in terms of qualifying. I believe, it will still be an entertaining tournament.

Or is it the company i had d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

One doesn't have to watch all games.
Am just happy that there will be many matches to bet on.

Also, the world cup is also going to 48 teams, we hope an East African Nation shall qualify

Some of the matches will be played in virtually empty stadiums. Betting and TV money have made football administrators crazy!

The standards have really dropped in African football. Very few players are doing well at global level with Mane,Salah and Koulibally being the few exceptions though none of them have hit the heights of past years.

True. The Ghana I watched last Saturday is not the Ghana I have always known.

African football has bee left behind. African teams have not mastered modern tactics which emphasize quick passes and de-emphasize dribbling. Thats why Africa did rather poorly at the 2018 world cup. There is no team for Kenya to fear at AFCON 2019. With proper prepration they can go far.

Agreed. African football is mainly based on athleticism.
Modern football does not need a player to run very fast, only needs good positioning and timely passes.
That explains why the likes of Wanyama are bench warmers and Ahmed Mussa can't find a club in Europe yet he is one the fastest players.
Ironically , players like Alex Iwobi who are less physically endowed but have close ball control and quick passes are doing much better for their clubs but flop at the national level which demands physicality and slow passes.

Who cursed East African Football

Only Uganda has a chance to qualify from Group A as one of the 4 3rd best teams.

Group C, Kenya and Tanzania are non starters

Group B, Burundi are as dead as a Dodo

Interesting Green, Red, Yellow in all the flags of group F.

I think Kenya will beat Tanzania and Algeria.

BBI will solve it

Kenya has a good record against all these teams. Anything is possible if they don't mess up preparations.

Apart from Group B each group has neighbors who share geographical boundary.

Very possible.

I hope Harambee stars will fare much better than Gor Mahia. Last night's performance was a total disgrace. Only Kahata and Joash Onyango should don national team colours.

Hope you also took time to follow their travel challenges.

Having watched Gor's matches against Zamalek and Hussein Dey, I dare say Berkane looked the most beatable of the three arab clubs.
