Nice choice - let me know when you get one we exchange notes!! i inherited a 160J sss,2 door, with 4 carburetors noma sana. It's very safe, car jackers will give you a pass and the predators that are Nairobi women will disown you!! awesome don't you think??

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Naelewa keep ti safe for the ricdeelets. Am opting for a Datsun cauz i heard the spares are still available how true is that?? any shops where they stock i only heard of east african motors in tao don know any other.

And your mechanic Is he good ama he's the type who just bahatisha stuff and give up after 2 months of restoration. I want to look for someone in advance who i can work on the stuff with and can rebuild and modify the motor and do wiring afresh.

Which Car and Year?

Ignition timing information is always available just google it and pass the info to your fundi most of them usually don't know.
Then ensure your Ignition coil,Distributor, lead wires and spark plugs are in good order. Unless there are other issues to do with compression etc the engine should kick well.
