Blacks were the most recent groups to suffer from mass slavery. the truth is slavery is as old as humanity. people working for others? didn't start in 1500s. Every bunch of people put weaker groups into slavery. even within the Americas - Mayans and Aztecs did that to people like them. All those west african kingdoms were slave owning (black people owning other black people), Romans had slavic people as slaves. heck it's only recently that slavery was a racial thing. during the roman era anyone could be a citizen of rome so Black people (Aethiopes) could have Germanic (white) slaves!

You are right. Almost everyone enslaved someone. Africans took slaves from their fellow Africans after wars... It happened everywhere. White enslaved African, Arab enslaved African, Arab enslaved White... I wonder is African has enslaved a White or Arab...

But the story that ati "more whites were brought into White Slavery!! than blacks" will not sell to me... It is an attempt to re-write history and create a different understanding in the minds of people.

Fact is: yes true whites have been enslaved, but they have enslaved more people themselves.

Whites enslaved 440,000,000 people and eliminated over 0.5 billion people!!

History is always written by the winners (masters). When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the winner writes history books - books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe. As Napoleon once said, 'What is history, but a false agreed upon?' Dan Brown

But that can't be true. Maybe we can talk about access to history being limited by the dominant power. But both the victor and vanquished have equal capacity to write history.

Let's take the Murumbi collection as an example. It is a historical text written by the vanquished.

Three points if you do not mind:

A. The question is: whose books are in the Murumbi's collection museum?

B. Also, having equal capacity to write and actually writing are two different things.

C. Dan Brown said: History is always written by the winners, are you saying he was wrong?

D. Which historical text written by the vanquished?

A. The books in the Murumbi collection have been authored by different categories of writers by race, philosophy and political influence - in case you're asking about authorship. If it's about ownership, then they are currently under the Kenyan government and maybe an old friend of Murumbi if I'm not wrong.

B. Not writing is logically a matter of choice

C. Dan Brown is both simplistic and wrong

D. The whole collection is a text by Murumbi. Murumbi hasn't been victorious, or has he? Some parts of the collection, eg. Artwork from Benin are texts that belong to the vanquished.

No. The history of slavery may not be as old as humanity. It may be younger and more recent.

Slavery may not even be a racial phenomenon. It is more of a political decision that excludes race. That is if race is an entity that is logically true - I suspect it is not!

For example, even in our times there are 'white slaves'. We could start with the Roma and go as far as Poles and Eastern Europeans.

There may be a case that some North Koreans work as slaves and may have been enslaved by their own people.

And so for 400 years, they willfully trafficked human cargo, and they took from Africa 180,000,000 (180M) people.

Like dogs and rats, putting them in the bottom of ships, and keeping them there for 3 or 4 months for that triangle trade to complete.

Look here: 23 out of 100 of those slaves inside the ship would survive. So they made sure that the cost of those 23 slaves would pay for the whole shipment! Where did the other 77 slaves wind up? In the graveyard of the Atlantic Ocean.
