And have you noticed that the share price on this counter is being determined by low volumes? No panic selling etc. I get the impression that the small share holder is being woodwinked.

Same thing they did last year. They are in the Kitchen cooking their books. The world cup has come to pass dunhill is running @ loss and their botswana subsidiary is the only thing bringing revenue and their Kenya works is not doing to well.

I bought some at 8.50 to speculate on them because of World Cup sales. Hoepfully, they have cleaned the books completely last year and we can see gains in 2010...

Burnt my fingers on this one; damped it and never looked back.

LOLest... I wish they did!!! That wud have been an awesome investment, no?

Anyway, the subsidiary sells PVC tiles & I wonder if the S.Africans used those when constructing bathrooms, high-traffic areas, etc...

As for the local/Kenya side, they own real estate which has been on a super-rise...

This is no Equity Bank but not most firms are...

Is there any news on Olympia? Or expectation of good news?

The demand for Olympia is through the roof. The price has not moved much (8/-) but the demand is for 125,000+ shares while offers are less than 5,000 shares.

Anyone?

sparkly, the olympia stock has returned 23% since the beginning of the year. Eveready has done 37.93%. For both, that is more than hfck, kcb, nmg, nbk, standard group and other "good companies"

I have never looked at it that way... So anyway, aren't the results due?

Predictions for prices? ...Does that make it a buy now? past performance is not necessarily indicative of future performance.. NSE has historically shown stock prices picking on or before publication of financial statements.. best to wait for the results..after all..if you hadn't bought the stock at start of year ..you are about 23% late. smile
