Midlife Crisis is that period when a man comes to realization that he is in a self imposed prison and a lot of what he was conditioned into accepting/ believing/ working so hard for was a sham.
It jolts him awake, burdens him with nightmares of regrets over risks not taken and fills him with with a longing for the freedom of his youth.
I can work with this more narrowed scope. II take it that self-imposed prison is mindset where one denies themselves pleasures so as to cater for a growing family perhaps; am I wrong? From this definition then, it appears midlife crisis applies to those that fail to achieve their dreams for any number of reasons. So is age a real factor? In the Kenol Kobil thread there are folks who joined before 2010 who are delighted about the prospects of a windfall when the acquisition goes through. Can such folks experience midlife crisis? These questions are for anyone on this thread.
First time in history we can save the human race by laying in front of the TV and doing nothing. Let's not screw it up
