Tons of places you can rent a main house with some land for less than 20k if you're determined to find one. Everywhere from kiambu to limuru to banana to ruiru and thika. I think i even saw a rental Ad in Rongai for 20k online ...either a 2bedroom or 3bed sitting on a 1/8th acre. When you want it bad enough, you'll find a way.
