Never buy and never pay for these. Life is a journey. Your journey is different and you have all it takes with you for your journey. Don't go on another person's journey to find yours. Don't let some expert take the mistakes, frustration and the wrong turns out of your life's journey, you need them to discover you and your journey. These are the ingredients.

BBI will solve it

That is pure dot.

No harm in learning from those who have gone before you. Just make sure they have really walked the path. Some of these so called motivational speakers wanaongea theory mingi to, zero experience. They just read books and come to preach to others.
They must find it difficult....... those who have taken authority as the truth, rather than truth as the authority. -G. Massey.

There is a difference between a mentor, an autobiography, a preacher, a therapist and a motivational guy. You do not need the last one, they can only lead you off your path and into theirs... Share one thing you read or heard from a motivational that you'd never heard of and you started practicing till today.

I'm not a fan of the motivational genre, though I've read a significant amount of them.

From my experience some of these books are great and maybe worth a person's time.

As a teen I read Kopmeyer: he taught me about the power of ASKING. Till now I don't think I've understood what he was talking about.

His books are also filled with stories of people who rose above the humdrum realities of loss and suffering.

Boethius's 'Consolation of Philosophy' may also be a motivational book of high caliber.

Cherie Carter Scott's 'If life is a game then these are the rules' was an eye opener for me. Why do incidences recur in a person's life?

On the other hand reading Pastor Oyadepo leaves me with the feeling of someone trying hard to copy-paste ideas from others...

There are many other writers who've made a mess of the genre, but that's something about almost all genres.

Let me name 2,

Lisa Nichols talks about her struggle to save money religiously. It did not make her rich directly but it is a testimony that having a plan and persistence can get you somewhere.

Nick Vujcic, is a testimony that disability is not inability. Your limitations are largely in your mind. Its not so much what he talks about ( I have never listened to him) but just the fact that he is who he is is inspiring. Locally we have the equivalent in Karani Kinyua.

Others, like a guy who talks about becoming an expert in anything in 20hrs is pure hot air.
