That is pure dot.
No harm in learning from those who have gone before you. Just make sure they have really walked the path. Some of these so called motivational speakers wanaongea theory mingi to, zero experience. They just read books and come to preach to others.
There is a difference between a mentor, an autobiography, a preacher, a therapist and a motivational guy. You do not need the last one, they can only lead you off your path and into theirs... Share one thing you read or heard from a motivational that you'd never heard of and you started practicing till today.
Let me name 2,
Lisa Nichols talks about her struggle to save money religiously. It did not make her rich directly but it is a testimony that having a plan and persistence can get you somewhere.
Nick Vujcic, is a testimony that disability is not inability. Your limitations are largely in your mind. Its not so much what he talks about ( I have never listened to him) but just the fact that he is who he is is inspiring. Locally we have the equivalent in Karani Kinyua.
Others, like a guy who talks about becoming an expert in anything in 20hrs is pure hot air.
They must find it difficult....... those who have taken authority as the truth, rather than truth as the authority. -G. Massey.
