Hi Wazurians,
Ever thought of which is the best company to work for in Kenya - based on:
1. Stress-free (boss and employee)
2. Employee satisfaction i.e training and tools for working
3. compensation (salary and bonus)and benefits
4. employee retention.

Which could be the best? Applause

Or an Embassy, most close the office at 12:30pm on Fridays and the tax benefits are great.

Working for yourself provides a lot of freedom . However its not always rewarding financially. Remember more than 50% of new small businesses never live to see their 3rd year

in agreement w @rodondo but don't allow those scary statistics to keep u from working for yourself. nothing worth having is easy, but it is rewarding if it is your passion.

Scarily true. Had never thought of that.

@Redondo- Actually its 90% of startups that fail in their first to 3rd year and 99% of the 10% that make it still fail before their 10th year in business.
What to do?? You dont start to fail aim to be in the 1% that eventually makes it and if you fail-God forbid - you still move on and start again because in life there are no regrets only lessons

Eventually with persistence you will get it right

Seems consensus is working for yourself is best. I've come to learn, when you begin working for yourself, one only becomes the best they are meant to be, when they work for others.

Hence:
- a young man with a family works much harder
- a visionary with a mentor achieves higher status
- a provider with a demanding customer delivers more promptly
- a CEO with a board always achieves more than when left to his own wits
- and a man achieves his true destiny, when he chooses that his toil on this earth, must fulfil the will of his maker.

And so the irony: to be truly successful, work like you are working for yourself, in all circumstances. But at the end of it all, we all work for someone else, whatever the circumstance.

I would say working for yourself, but would hasten to add that it is by no means simple especially if you want to succeed. One way to fully exert yourself is to work for yourself. Working for yourself also gives one a humbling experience when one sees other successful ventures.

...Actually; for every 100 businesses that are registered
50 never get started at all
35 don't survive to the first birthday
10 don't survive to the 5th year

Of the remaining 5 after the 5th year, 1 outlives the founders!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
