I hope you all find him before the coffin calls. Life is fragile like a flower in the field. Yours could end today and then you would find out the hard way that what the Bible said about Christ was all true.

@mugunda, didn't Paul forbade this kind of thing? I'm sure you'll recognize the below verse:

"Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. (1 Corinthians 14:34-35)

NOTE: For the rest of Wazuans, tis is not meant for you. Of course, i don't believe in that attitude to women. This is just giving Mugunda his own medicine to swallow...

Where do you see a church in any of these videos? Laughing out loudly FYI I personally agree 100% with said verse smile

So ideally, this verse doesn't allow women to be preachers. If they're not allowed to speak. So the lady in the video is officially moot in the eyes of Lord God?

Alphadoti,
For someone who claims to be a mjuaji on all things Holy Book, I am coming to see your level of ignorance on Bible basics is even more staggering than ooombaablt's!

1. What is the definition of a preacher(bishop/elder/reverend) etc according to the Bible
2. What are the qualifications for someone to occupy said office according to Scripture?
3. Does a lady singing in a music video qualify as a "preacher"?
4. Are there women in the NT who sang for the Lord in any context

Over to you and to use your most favourite phrase PLEASE DO NOT DIVERT Laughing out loudly

I don't know bro. Please educate me. Is that lady standing in front of men while singing, ama namna gani? And did Christ sing or even ask anyone to sing to God?

Bible says: "I permit no woman to teach or have authority over men; she is to keep silent." Timothy 2:11

Thank you for finally admitting this! You could have saved me loads of keystrokes responding to someone who admits they do not know anything about the Bible beyond pablum! smile

People read the bible in strange ways... that epistle begins like this

Quote:

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,
To Timothy my true son in the faith:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
....
Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well,

Who was the letter written to? Who is being addressed? It's like finding a memo and executing the body without knowing WHO IT WAS INTENDED FOR

Secondly, @alph - you don't really believe in the writings of Paul... so why do you want to know if Mary Masika is compliant to the teachings of someone who teachings you disregard? It's like me going to a hindu guy and asking - if they are complying with teachings of Rama or some other character in the Gita

@mavegs, when someone comes to public place and make claim, they should back it up with evidence. Not mere rhetoric equal to hysteria and frenzy. If you make religious claims, show the evidence. Otherwise, do or say those things in the privacy of your home... there you can lie to those you want.

I'm here to put those inanity in their place...

@mugunda, Je! Yesu alienda kanisa kuimba? You will realize that Jesus (peace be upon him) never sang songs of praises to God in synagogue (in swahili msikiti). David (peace be upon him) pekee ndiye aliruhusiwa kuimba. Amos (peace be upon him) alikuja kuondoa mambo ya kuimbia Mwenyezi Mungu.

Can we engage here regarding these praise and worship frenzies? Let us use religious authorities please, Bible and the Quran where necessary... No abuses and matusis please. Only mature responses if you are up for the challenge. Otherwise, say you do not want to engage and I will leave it...

Psalm 33:1-3
Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

Only David (peace be upon him) was allowed to sing. In fact, Amos (peace be upon him) came to remove singing to Almighty God.

Amos 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols (Niondoleeni kelele za nyimbo zenu! Sitasikiliza sauti za vinubi vyenu)

Ezekiel 26:13 And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard (Nitakomesha kelele za nyimbo zako, na uimbaji wako wa kinubi kamwe hautasikika tena)

I know it's not Sunday but here's something important you should try that will make reading the Bible more interesting and most meaningful to your life: Read the Bible on areas that you struggle with in your life. You will get a clear path to your solution. Reading it like Bible study or a story book will only lead to frustration and abandonment. That comes later. Start by reading to look for solutions and you will experience the power within the Bible.
(oh, eg if your challenge is being rich then look for what's holding you back from being rich but don't treasure-hunt since riches are an already fulfilled promise from the day God created us and made us rulers over all).

BBI will solve it

Nothing beats those old time classics.

Pagans, Satanists, agnostics, atheists etc please leave this thread. I do not understand why you are so interested in our songs and hymns yet you never start your own threads where you can debate about your Satanic beliefs against the Bibleand Christ ad nauseum. Your verbiage hapa will not change anyone's mind about anything so why waste your own time and ours? Laughing out loudly

(Jesus speaking):

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. -- Matthew 6: 24

Then (Jesus) said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions." -- Luke 12:15

Contradicting yourself every time you post. First you trashing Old Testament, then next minute you are using it to justify your music?
