Can you believe that colonial concept is still in force to this day?? That walking freely in this free nation is an offense?

One of my relatives was arrested last night for loitering, I went with a lawyer to the station and they could not prove leave alone explain the offense. It's basically an avenue for extortion. These are the small idiotic thing that hold this nation back.

You mean one cannot freely walk at night even if to defuse build up of 'tension in the house'?

Loitering with intent to participate in crime is indeed an offence under the Kanju bylaws. That's the charge they usually put on ladies of the night.

You've introduced yet another valid angle. Suppose he was pulling a "Jaden Smith" flagging down cars with male Johns in them, it would be a valid reason to arrest for loitering. This world is kurazy so anything is possible but 2012 should tell us more. The info he gave us is too litro to come to a conclusion as to why it happened.

No, he was not drunk. If drunk, you are arrested for drunk and disorderly. Loitering means exactly that, you were walking around. But you can clearly conclude on what they wanted. In Nakuru when Nairobians flood the town for rugby in Easter, they get one of you if you are in a group and tell him to tell his friends to sort the matter or he'll await court on Tuesday from Friday.

Kesi ya loitering si kitu ya kufata sana, eti tunataka context.

Going with a lawyer kwa station may even be overkill. You end up using a lot of money for nothing.

Some things may be valid but wrong.
