Obiero,
Your post manifests key signs of a tribalist. Why do you feel the need to argue that you are "not a tribalist" and that you admire guys from wherever? Why could you not ask if there are folks here from Nyanza, without trying to stage a show about your "cool" with guys from Central? why?
Tribalists see Kenya through the prism of two tribes - Kikuyu, and Luo, because these are the bigwigs that matter in Kenya as long as the tribe is the muscle. That is how I can tell you are a tribalist. Ask yourself this: why did it not occur to you to mention the Turkana ... the Dorobo, the Kamba, etc?

@Obiero, i thot i saw Nyandusi's son Nyachae in the list.Or u meant Luo Nyanza?But seriously if the likes of Kirima are in the list the Odingas should be in it too.The Ouru family in Kisii and some Bungoma family who control wholesale and retail in western and recently opened a huge shopping mall in Kampala What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing

@Gordon Geko,
Chami actually holds little shares. There was a time he only had 3 shares EA portland cement. All he does is selling and leaving a little to enable him attend an agm. In the agm he makes sure he is the first one to ask a question and to propose. I dont think he can fit in that group.
Actually Edwin Yinda is from Nyanza for those who thought that there are none

mukiha wrote:@obi; the number one spot is undisputed - Manu Chandaria, by a long shot Mukiha, I disagree but only politely coz I don't have the facts, I think chandaria was left behind coz he never invested in the new economy like the other 2 did. He is not a major player in the finance and insurance, telcoms or property industries unlike the other 2 etc. BTW, if we consider the Aga Khan, then he leads by a country mile, that guy is into everything in a big way. You're at the level those primary kids who shangilia when they see a Bentley Continental of 20-something million passing by, ati "wawawa, Kenya tumeendelea!"
