I agree with Murathe. A governor and his deputy will retire after their 2 terms are over. Likewise the president and his deputy should also retire after their 2 terms are over. The DP is part of the presidency, just like a deputy gabana is part of the gabanaship. #HeshimuKatiba

Why cant Murathe declare he will vie for the presidency rather than being too preoccupied with WSRs candidature?

Murathe fires AGAIN...

Ruto not right man to lead after Uhuru, says Murathe

https://www.the-star.co....u-says-murathe_c1871725

Quote:
Jubilee vice-chairperson David Murathe has dismissed Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid and called on Rift Valley to produce another candidate.

Murathe, who is a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, said Ruto has served his term and should prepare to exit in 2022.

“Huyu mtu ukimuachia dakika kidogo unaona kile anafanya. Sasa ukipatia yeye hii kiti si kutakuwa kubaya? (You can see what this man can do with the little time he has been given. It will be bad if he is given the seat),” Murathe told the Star.

He said Ruto’s mandate was tied with that of Uhuru and that the DP has to go in 2022. “He had a mandate with the president for 10 years and now he wants another 10 as a president. It’s not tenable.”

He defended his opinion saying he has a democratic right to comment on issues affecting the party and the nation.

These politicians, do they ever do productive work? All we see is delegations after delegations and political meetings even on weekdays to strategize for '22 . Yet I would expect anyone in executive to have a very busy desk and have no time to 'kutangatanga'. No wonder, CBC implementation was failing, PORK has to form task force after task force to address sugar/ maize woes, coz the people whom we gave mandate, the ones supposed to be sitting behind the desk cracking their heads to solve these problems are busy campaigning for the future elections 4 yrs away. Only in Kenya.

The opposite is true. In Mt Kenya, those in support of Murathe's sentiments and position constitute over 90%.You also note that there is dissatisfaction on Uhuru's performance and his development record within the region as so well said by Kuria and Ngunjiri and so the more Uhuru supports his weak project, the stronger the rebellion will grow. The good thing is Western and Nyanza agree and up goes Samoei's chance. It just won't happen.....and ohh, RV mpigs say they will impeach Uhuru. The sooner they do it, the better for Kenyans.

Uhuru's influence on the 2022 candidate in Central will be Nil. The best would be for him to be silent.

Kuria was right. Mt. Kenya region has not benefited at all from the Jubilee administration and as such has no obligation in voting it come 2022.

I have just seen the comments on Uhuru's FB page all i can say, get me the pop corns. That "washenzi" comment was not the way to address the rebellion in Mt. Kenya. Bucket of popcorns and the backseat. This drama just got started.

Kabisa ,If he looses his influence and with no heir apparent then going forward a split within communities that make up GEMA is inevitable voting patterns will be similar to that of the luhya nation huku,Kule na huko
