You can't just be dishing out approvals and cancelling them later "after public outcry". This is not a banana republic. Real capital and sweat equity goes into these projects. It doesn't bode well for general investor confidence.

Owner of the demolished gigiri hotel should also sue coz county gave him approvals and then cancelled later "after public outcry - including UN and US" and this was after he had sunk billions into the project.

I hate to agree with mawinder lakini hapa he is spot on. Going to court is ill advised especially when you consider that county government is alleging that one of the reasons for the cancellation is because of residents complaining.

The constitution that was passed in 2010 has one poison pill that will maliza businesses that want to do anything big. That poison pill is called public participation. In mawinder language all that this means is lazima ukule na watu. It just needs one resident of Kilimani to show up and be enjoined in the suite and he will claim that public participation was not done. If you go to do the public participation 10 people show up and they oppose until utoe kitu.

Greasing palms is not Cytonn’s thing. They will never do this. One of the reasons I hold this company to high regard. It may take years for courts, it may not even be ruled in their favor, however due process is followed and I think as Kenyans, we need to embrace this culture and stop greasing palms.
