Let's be realistic here. CK is an old man, he's almost clocking 80. At that age, I'd be getting or would have gotten my affairs in order. Your body doesn't heal as easy as it used to and never heals fully.

All the same, I wish him all the best as he's really been inspiring many people with his quotes on working hard and smart, which he does. On matters of ethics, that's not for me to judge, I don't know his that well...

BBI will solve it

There is no such thing as full recovery from cancer.

The city of Cleveland in Ohio USA has 2 international airports. One airport is a regular airport like JKIA the other one is almost exclusively for private jets. It is used by NBA, NFL and Baseball teams when they fly into Cleveland for games. However these flights are the minority, the majority of the flights all year round are for the private jets of patients of the famous Cleveland Clinic. It is not a "clinic" as the name may suggest but an extensive Medical system with several hospitals. All the billionaire, businessmen, looters, despots of the world from South America, Nigeria, Asia, Arab countries etc go there to get treatment for their incurable diseases for millions of dollars.

Success in cancer treatment is measured in 5 year survival rates. When you have survived 5 years it is counted as a major success, it does not mean you are OK.

Beth Mugo & Anyang Nyongo have done 5+ years after their US tours.

Looks like those with money going to USA and UK (Bob Collymore) make 'recovery' while those going to India don't make it... Whilst cheap it could be that Indian cancer centre's go extra hard on chemotherapy radiation

You are reminding me of kaplan - meir survival analysis. It depends on the type of cancer. Some cancers are too aggressive and discovered late like pancreatic cancer and the prognosis is very BAD while others are fully treatable.

Modern medicine is the last remaining religion on earth. People believe everything doctors tell them. Most of what are called curable cancers are things that would not have bothered the patient at all if they had been left alone but now that they have been "discovered" they are aggressively and unnecessarily treated and are jubilantly counted as cures.

Strictly speaking a doctor treating a patient does not know that what he is treating is cancer. The name cancer is actually given by another doctor who does not see the patient but only looks at a piece of meat (biopsy) through the microscope. So the first doctor has a suspicion that this is cancer and cuts a small piece of whatever he thinks is cancer. The second doctor looks at that piece of meat and says there are cells that have moved from where they usually are and are growing in a place where they usually don't grow and that is what is called cancer. So cancer is not a description of not feeling well or being sick it is a description of a doctor looking at something in the microscope and saying it does not look normal.

Now there are very many people who have a lot money and are wimps and they like visiting doctors to complain about everything. These are the ones who are always diagnosed with cancers that are successfully "cured" because they are "caught early." It turns out that if you find a normal human being of about 50 years or more who has no problem at all and you cut out a small piece of their prostate or thyroid and take it to a doctor to look at under the microscope they will always find cells that are growing in places they should not be growing and the microscope doctor will say this patient has cancer.

Jesso. @kusadikika, why all this bile and kizungu mingi about DJCK and his health matters? Everyone including you can get sick. The human lifespan is about 100yrs max. So just like a car engine, after 1/2 of the lifespan (50yrs for humans) we start developing issues. Luckily for engines you can change parts and extend the lifespan but for humans we can only manage our issues until we "seize" at the end of our lifespans. DJCK is very lucky coz many humans seize before 70yrs. Beyond 70 is baraka ya mungu. So let DJCK be. Let him enjoy his life to the fullest.

@Hardwood, this is not about DJ CK. It is about the "Cancer Industry" and it uses the likes of DJ CK to promote itself.
