And it's not even in Nairobi.

Dogo Kundu By-pass ia the most expensive road having cost taxpayers a whopping Ksh. 2.7B per KM or Ksh. 2.7M per Metre or Ksh. 27,000 per centimeter!

Story ndo hiyo.

BBI will solve it

By the way is that road done? I used it a week ago and the surface is terrible, loose chips, the markings are faded like they were done with white wash, and the confusing interchange at the port entrance, for some reason the road is was really empty while the deteriorating Mariakani changamwe one had bumper to bumper jam, the trucks are not using it, buses use it, I bet the Jomvu mombasa one will be the fav for many when done.

Yes. Plus most of this road is on top of the sea/riparian land. Assuming only 10% of the cost goes to heavy duty cement then you can guess how much Bamburi and ARM are raking.Yes, i said ARM(Rhino is back and i am very bullish about cement). Remember, Mombasa is grossly under-developed as far as infrastructure(consumption of cement) is concerned. I am not surprised by this costing. I have witnessed this road together with SGR being constructed from scratch. Indeed the surface of this road is not lami(tarmac)..it is cement. Na bado.... If you stay without visiting Mombasa for the next 5 years you will get lost when you eventually visit, especially if you are driving yourself
