Never will it stop. It is divide and rule.
Politicians have always used this tactic of convincing Kenyans that the other tribe is the enemy as they steal.
These MPs have Kenyans insulting each other along tribal lines. Calling each other names online. Destroying property belonging to members of other ethnic groups. They keep Kenyans antagonistic against one another while they share the spoils.
In the end Kenyans are so busy hating each other that they even convince themselves that corruption by one of their tribesemen is to be tolerated even defended. Kenyans will even vote known thieves into office.
When civil society calls a protest against MP greed, only 20 Kenyans show up.
On the other hand, come election time when these same greedy MPs hold a rally, tens of thousands of broke, idle, jobless, underpaid and overtaxed Kenyans show up on their NASA and Jubilee gear to cheer the same greedy MPs. This is because they have convinced Kenyans that their well being depends not on good governance but on having a member of their ethnic group in power.
When civil society calls a protest against MP greed, the same stupid police who are poorly paid show up with rungus to beat up the very people who are fighting for their rights and better salaries. And sometimes the protest has only 10 people peacefully carrying placards.
