Shhh Don't tell anyone but I think I have discovered a gold mine. Buy a green house and go do cucumber farming in Bondo. I know someone that did it and she made over 40 million shillings in just over 5 years. The produce is very marketable and buyers pay cash in US dollars. If you plant on December 18 you can start making money in January. The sales are so good you can be making 3 deposits on the same day.

She definitely wins the "least smart" explanation award. I believe it was man Kibs who once said that even stealing (or was it rigging?) requires some intelligence. The paucity thereof in this case is earth shaking. The funniest was her use of fake aliases to open bank accounts. What happened to KYC? The bank officials who approved the opening of such fake accounts need to be arraigned as well!

Smart farming plus depends on the acreage. Possible & doable.

Cucumber is big business. Remember how KJ used to pronounce that? Shushumba!

Quote:
For example, an account at Equity Bank, Community Branch, received at total of $79,000 between May 11, 2017 and August 25, 2017.

The deposits were made on May 11, July 6, August 2, 7 and 25, all in US dollars, at a time when the country was in tense moments of electioneering period.

On August 25, 2017, she made deposits in three different accounts of US dollars 10,000 and Sh900,000. On August 5, she made two deposits of US dollars 20,000 in two different accounts.

Add two things:
1. A business in South Sudan
2. A senior position in gova

I care!

Mmmhhh, looks like someone has to jet in twice or thrice a day from Juba to deliver some dollars.
Things have also changed in government where Cabinet Secretaries are paid in cash directly from cash office.
@Mugundaman, how much is an eighth of an acre in Siaya. I need to head there to ride on the lucrative cucumber farming biz.

Not sure of the price, but with shushumbas literally fetching "top dollar", I'm highly tempted to invest in a mugunda there as well!
