I think there is a lot of money to made by whoever buys KMC and runs it well.

Wa....Area MPs were complaining that the money they approved towards revivng KMC in the past 3 years has always been taken back to treasury. In one of the parliamentary meetings, they lamented that someone very powerful must be behind this and pushing for privatization. So be on the lookout on who is buying....Locals or foreigners?

I think short term vultures may be eyeing the land. I however think if well run the business is worth more in the long run.

Yes, Somalia is one trader of the best livestock traders in the world, that is a market Kenya can potentially look into exploit. Kibaki had secured some deals to export beef and goat meat products to the middle east. That is an established market.
