I thought the constitution is the supreme law and it doesn't recognize moi day. Also all other laws have to conform to the katiba.

and on a more sober note, little did Kenya know that on this day the 'passing cloud' would be with us for the next 24 years!
Happy Moi day to all. Whether we like it or not, this man was a part of our national lives for almost a whopping quarter of a century. Lot's of memories of him both good and bad but these days tis a good thing to hang on to the good and forget the bad.
