I just keep laughing at the "huge beehive full of very angry bees" buzz coming fm the stadiums. Love it, very unique.

My opinion has always been - they ought to be disallowed.

It is pure nightmare to those who go to the stadia to watch the matches.
The madness is beyond what is bearable.

By the way did Kibaki suffer shattered ear drum there!

I was watching a rugby match the other day and a young dude blew this thing over my head....I almost committed murder.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

How about FIFA giving guidelines on a smaller size vuvuzela... that is not too loud. Else they should restrict the number of vuvuzelas in the stadium during a match.

But for the jamaa who came up with the idea..Applause Applause Applause Applause Applause

I dont mind them! However I had to take a couple of panadols before attending 2nd day of rugby at the Saf 7's Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
However i think SA might be remembered by many for all the wrong reasons regarding the vuvuzela controversy instead of the ability of a "third world" nation to host such a magnificent event

I think it is killing the atmosphere in the stadium. Instead of the usual up and down changes in the noise as the excitement rises and wanes, what we get now is a monotonous buzzzzzzz throughout the match. If I were Sep, I'd ban the thing from "my" stadia!!!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Most of us are guilty of displaying usual slavery mentality. Mzungu akisema nikabaya, tunasema ni kibaya.
I've been lucky to go to a few games abroad. One was a very tense, but boring affair with fans not creating any atmosphere. The other was a violent game where us 3 black guys had to put up with racial insults et al.
Compared to all this, the vuvuzelas are uniquely South Africa and v entertaining

The racism must have hurt you. Sorry. It hurts me just by thinking about it. What the f*** is FIFA doing to stem this vice. They should give bans every time.
Inter and Juventus over in Italy do it every single home game. Even to their own players! They even had the nerve to write "no more negroes" when Mariga arrived. And yet it is business as usual. Even Sol Campbell suffers racist chants when playing against Totenham

German side Borussia Dortmund have banned vuvuzelas from their stadium. "These horrid things will be forbidden from the Westfalenstadion," said general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke.
