So Del Potro seems to have come off his wrist surgery. Feels like ATP Shanghai Masters in 2013 all over again. Nadal has been handed 2 first set bagels by both Khachanov and Thiem in this tournament. He is good at come backs while Potro easily tanks on long rallies. I have this feeling....Potro will win the first set, that i am sure since Nadal is a slow starter.My money is on Potro getting to the semis as he seems in far much better condition, dropping just one set so far while Nadal has come from a couple 5 setters. The last against Thiem lasted close to 6 hours.

I don't want to quote myself but as i had predicted, Nadal dropped the first set easily and was being thrashed in the second He realized that it was headed for a 3-0 win for Potro and the guy embarrassingly quit to save face. Djoker had 3 easy sets against Kei. Nothing to test him. Looking at the two, everything other than bookmakers is favoring Del Potro. His one good chance to come out of the shadows of Djoker and Nadal. I am picking him to lift the US open in 5 long sets.
