This is the most straight forward case to solve. The motive is there. All the players are known. And the witness (chonolist) is there. The PA was sent by his boss to take care of "the matter". PA should also give the identity of the car, driver and the 2 thugs he assigned to kill the victim - and the chonolist who luckily managed to escape. Right now the PA should be hanging by his balls at kodiaga as he sings/confesses.

There's a probability that the governor might be innocent, and I think it a great thing that we can have lawyers like Cliff (notwithstanding affinity to 'big money').

Just from the newspaper reports, we can describe the relations and interests of the people involved, and their interpretation of conversations and the like.

For example, the PA might have come up with ideas of how to handle the case with reference to his background.

And what are the probable qualifications of a PA in Kenyan politics? He could have been a mean guy of the streets. So he goes to his ilk, and with their limited understanding and probable criminal pasts, plus self interest, they end up doing an unprofessional job.

The reporter escaped probably because the method of operation had not been discussed beforehand comprehensively. So in the car, there was yet some decisiveness and the man who had less value overpowered them.
