Entry into Ethiopia and purchase of IBL should give some KCB investors avenue to lower their ABPs.This is anticipation of rights issue.

Rights issue I don't see any signs.
The bank has healthy reserves.

Scratching my head.
I want to beat the market in the long run.So far my ABP is 38.20 and a dividend yield of 7%.i had thought the interim will be increased but that was not the case.i dont want to increase my ABP by buying more at higher price.
I will wait for a possible dividend increase next year which looks likely going by half year results, then i will think of revising my abp upwards.
I will also not hesitate to pounce on any eventuality to lower my abp further.

Look at value not price. KCB is a steal at 50.

Warren Buffet is currently getting 45% dividend yield from his investment in Cocacola.
im looking at ways to increase my dividend yield from the current 7% to possibly 100% in the long run.
One way is definately maintaining a lower ABP.
Another one is patience.I have held kcb since 2016 and thats why my abp is 38.20 and 7% yield.
Another way is a robust growth for kcb in the long term which looks possible. This will allow for growth in dividend payout.
Im an income investor who is striving to build a strong portfolio with maximum returns to live on.

KCB staffer charged over Sh72.6m theft
https://www.businessdail...21528-ualqh9/index.html
Macdonald Bongwe Mochama, who worked as a transaction monitoring officer, was among four KCB employees who were arrested last Friday in connection with the theft of Sh72.6 million.
He had been arrested together with Benson Mwai Karugu, Edmund Kirturi Mutua and Evans Kenda Kiplagat.

Peter Sungu Nyakomitta, a branch manager with Diamond Trust Bank in Kisii, after an internal reconciliation process showed that Sh25 million had been stolen. Another case involves Abel Onyango, a relations officer with Family Bank, who is alleged to have accessed customers’ accounts through SIM swaps and withdrew Sh1.5 million.

This bank would fall apart without government help. Am now 3 hours waiting to deposit money for TUK student. In the admission letter, the institution have indicated that you must use only that account.

Why not use the Greenbank option to deposit to the TUK account? The chrged would compensate for the 3 hrs on the line.

Try this with learning institutions... They state clearly that they don't want agent receipts; yet for some banks like Co-op you find agents in the banking hall. Banks still have a long way to go in convincing these institutions (schools, colleges, universities etc.)
