Dated 2/2/2017, but hio si zamani sana.

We are so embroiled in our own siasas and funny vitukos (like someone swallowing a toothbrush)that we fail to appreciate some of the great things we have achieved.

At a recent UN level meeting, did you know wazungus in W.Africa and beyond made power point presentations quoting Kenya as the best country in Public Sector Reform?
This is because of.... Huduma Centres which are fast, efficient and reachable to the public.
But for most of us, we will associate it with Waiguru and quickly move on.

Top 10 countries farming wind energy with largest wind farm thus harnessing using clean energy ...Kenya

Top in the fastest internet speed connection in Africa - Kenya

Top in Athletics - mpaka we got winner's fatigue. We dont celebrate it much even when we do 1-2-3 sweeps. Ni kawaa

Rated Among the Top 10 Richest Countries in Africa - Kenya

Kenya even has faster internet speed than the US, Australia, South Korea, Dubai etc. We are up up there. Sad that kenyans never see anything positive about their country.

Kenya’s internet beats the United States for speed

Kenya is up there with the greats in all honesty, except urban transport infrastructure-roads and associated furniture. Hapo tuko chini chini chini zaidi. If we strive to eliminate dust, mud, gabbage, surface flowing sewage, traffic jam in our major cities.... we'll be neck to neck with any great city out there, since almost every other amenity is tops or almost there- electricity, water, telecoms, broadcast.....

That singular aspect of exposed soil and poor roads in the cities brings down our cities' standard of living to very low levels. Unpaved surfaces are the source of untold problems including inability to keep a clean environment.

However, there's a lot to be proud of in this our country.

BTW, this is an indictment on Kenya.

Only developed nations pollute the environment.

This simply implies we produce too little or nothing, hence no byproducts, and no pollution.

Somebody explain this to the group's Mr Dense. No names 😹

Sure. The cleanliness the article is talking about regards reduced emissions, not lack of garbage. It means our industrial output is minimal.

And filthy.

We can be poor but clean, but we chose the two trophies. Poor & filthy, and we're even defending that position.
