Now that was fast. She is in the court now. She is seated outside the mbao!! ...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

It looks like the services of NASA's "top" lawyers have been secured for her... Just an observation. BBI will solve it :)

Thinking out loud: For the DPP to be so sure about her guilt over something that happened behind closed doors, whatever transactions happened at Imperial Bank were well documented or recorded to be used against her just in case she did not fullfil her end of the bargain and clearly she didn't. BBI will solve it :)

Of all these lawyers, how many are under Mwilu' s payroll and how many are offering pro bono services. If all of them are being paid then by the time the case is half way through, this woman will be broke. What value are so many lawyers adding to the case in favour of Mwilu?

My thoughts too. Most likely an insider is willing to talk or has already talked. A lawyer friend puts the number of judges/magistrates who are incorruptible at less than 10%. There is an expansive network of brokers who know how to get to each judge/magistrate to influence judgements.

She was busted by KRA and CBK that's an open and shut case on tax evasion even Al Capone was eventually jailed on that. The other charges of failing to pay stamp duty those she can escape

The other charges of failing to pay stamp duty those she can escape Why by feigning ignorance? the scam has evolved over time but it remains the same at its core. when you want to transfer property you must pay stamp duty. the property is first valued then the stamp duty is paid at the bank (national bank) and the payment slip taken to lands office for processing. now to evade making this payment and 'eat' the stamp duty, one would make fake payment slip and take them to lands office where their contacts will close their eyes and process the transfer. the loot is then shared. in most cases this is done by lawyers and or the clerks they entrust with the work. this is probably why the lawyer has been charged too. if she'd paid the money or had reasonable cause to believe her lawyer had (maybe he had her money or paid an all inclusive fee without looking into the amounts etc) then she has a good defence.

Those are not Judge Mwilu's lawyers those are lawyers for the Senator for Busia. She is hanging by a thread. If the senator stops smiling at her she is on her own.
