Sonko says .......

Better be a one term Governor and leave a legacy than entertaining grabbing of public land/utilities. Remove all your valuables from the under mentioned public utilities with immediate effect:

Proposed land for Gigiri & Ruaraka firestations; Highridge hospital in parklands; New muthaiga thigiri ridge county dispensary & Nursery school; Grabbed Pumwani hospital expansion structures; Eastleigh county Market; Mwariro county market; Langata primary school land; St. Catherine primary school land; Buruburu girls school land; Martin Luther primary school land; Kamkunji Secondary school land; Langata sec. school land; grabbed land reserved for South C market; Grabbed land reserved for Nyayo estate police post, All county public roads/ accesses including my buru buru plot & maina kamandas, All grabbed land in all the estates within Nairobi reserved for playgrounds, All grabbed public social halls; All encroachments on public land including houses constructed on sewer line & Nairobi water pipeline.

Further note that any COUNTY/NEMA official who conspired with grabbers to approve building plans on public utilities will also be prosecuted alongside the said suspected grabbers.

Now this is what is called setting a very high bar for governors.

The Nairobi government on Monday received 25 medics from the US who will work in city hospitals for two weeks.

The team that includes 10 specialists from Hope International Organisation in New York will be based at Pumwani, Mama Lucy, Mbagathi and Mutuini hospitals.

Acting county Health executive Veska Kangogo said the county government is revamping city hospitals to meet international standards.

She said the visiting doctors will officer cancer treatment, paediatric and cardiology services.

Head of the delegation Amy Korir said the team is ready to help county staff deliver services.

Oncologist specialised in breast surgery Ogoti Kalu said they are looking forward to offering their expertise.

"We are eager to help the communication and healthcare professionals here with our knowledge and skills for the time we will be here," Kalu said.

Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union Nairobi branch secretary general Thuranira Kuagiria welcomed the doctors.

More is happening in Nairobi under Sonko than during Kidero's tenure. Strange

Maybe it's the NAMSIP thing by central government

Was this header meant to be a joke? Every time I read it I chuckle, maybe we Nairobians are earthworms and the bar placed on the ground by Sonko is high enuf for us.

How embarrassing coming from a governor. Masomo ni muhimu. I keep saying that voting should not be an automatic right, there should be some sort of basic intelligence test for people to be allowed to vote. That way we don’t end up with imbeciles like this Sonko guy.

The problem with Kenya and Nairobi at the moment is that chaos is ruling at the moment bad laws and rules and leaders bending them when it suits them, eg how stupid is it for sonko to demolish a public toilet to punish a billionaire ?
shouldn't a notice be given before demolition as for did the billionaire have the proper permissions to demolish the houses?
Remember the muhindis who got their house demolished in westi or was it parklands? were they compensated? was anyone punished? until we start cleaning the cut instead of dressing it we shall have this kind of stupid stuff happening Sad Sad
