this is nothing to do with muslims and christians. its simply politics like the violence in the tana delta. our government and courts are allowing the mrc to operate and accepting their crazy theories on the one hand, and condemning the violence on the other. weed out these radicals and the problems will be solved including that of al-shababists. what we are showing is that we are defenceless. countries can take over land in our borders i.e. sudan, ethiopia and uganda without us uttering a single word. our population can be targetted by fundamentalists like mrc/ al shabbab without expecting protection.

Although it is not a must, but remember an emissary's mission is usually to negotiate or to gather information. So in my opinion it is best to send an emissary to a people whom he can associate with. For example a president sends a trusted emissary to a war-torn region to discuss peace terms. Take for example sending a Muslim ambassador to Vatican? Yes, he will carry out his job, but at a limited perspective. But it is not a must.

So apart from professional experience, an ambassador will be more effective if he understands the languages spoken, the culture, etc etc.

So this is something to put into consideration unless the only objective is to rewards his friends, then you can pick anyone and randomly send

Bullshiet! So you have no problem when muslims are posted as ambassadors to xtian nations but now you complain when a non muslim is sent to saudi? Kwanza huyo Yusuf Nzibo who is shouting loudest never complained when he was ambassador to the christian US. Why didnt he refuse to go to the US then and demand to be taken to muslim countries?
