Been watching from the equator Mt.Kenya side, its been cloudy though even the clouds are forming a dark and light side, and giving some wonderful shots, hope its clear. A New Kenya

My moon looks normal but there's a bright star next to it. Is that Mars?

Looks like some folks here won't recognize that moment. You may take the picture of your cat eclipsing the moon and we will not have that.Visit timeanddate.com, type in your time and nearest known town (Kianjokoma,Nasianda, Pand Pieri and Ebuchinga are not known towns for heavens sake) and you will get the time to expect this lunar regardless of whether you are drunk or not  https://www.timeanddate....lipse/lunar/2018-july-27
