check with lands ministry, there is a department that deals with settlement schemes. BTW there is yet another scheme in embakasi, run by some maasai wazee's. i predict the following headline in our dailies by end of the year 'Thousands conned by dubious land agents, amongst them pyramid scheme victims'! kenyans just never learn....

come slowly....

these schemes exist but should only be tried by the daring ones,if you win,you reap huge profits. this is an area where 'kifua' rules. this is no place for a mouse

by the way most of those 'tall' buildings you see are built on land without lease or title and guys build them using their own cash.

there is some socio-political dynamics involved here which exploit the legal loopholes, corruption and official ineptitude to acquire land, sub divide and distribute it.

for more send me your email an i will advice you further

If the area is the one bordering KCC upto Caltex roundabout and upto K South, then we're probably talking about the area earmarked for Wakulima market. The area is also popular with Mungiki,do your homework before you invest your money.

Dandora/Embakasi is full of controversies caused by politicians who grabbed council/govt land & have been allocating in the name of schemes. I also for fact know that most of the land near KCC is grabbed; and genuinely owned parcels have been taken over by mungiki who then start disposing it as theirs. Check with the lands office/ the Nairobi City Council Housing Dept situated in Dandora for more infor. Utapata mob ilipeanwa na Wandera (former NCC Clerk).
