Those counties would be feeding kenya and even minting billions from food exports. If egyptians can do it, kenyans surely can. Muwache kulalia masikio.

Athiriver in Machakos is still full of Kinyesi and metals.Only when it gets further downstream it gets a bit clearer and smells better

Are we, by any chance, headed back to the Nyayo Error antics of hide and seek between The Brenton Woods Institutions and the “Government”?

Copy and Paste Extract

Quote:
Henry Rotich, the country’s Finance Minister has said he will “halve the government’s budget deficit by June 2021 and repeal or reform an 18-month-old cap on bank lending rates.”

This comes a day after IMF’s visit to the country where the team met parliament’s budget and appropriation committee.

The IMF warned that the country’s rising debt level is heading to a point whereby it won’t be sustainable anymore and the government’s appetite for new loans needs to be put in check.

The IMF mission also asked the MPs to repeal the rate cap law as one of the conditions in order to extend a $1.5 Billion (Sh 150 Bn) precautionary facility that expires in March 2018.

1. Uhuru will be very tough on corruption during his second term.

2. Uhuru us being let down by people close to him.

3. Uhuru is not corrupt, but he can't act against his own deputy because he needs his support for 2017.

4. It's the judiciary to blame for the corruption.

You can add any of those lies we were being told before the election last year.

President doesn't need to wait for judicial process. He can take administrative action anytime. But he hasn't.

NYS, KFS, KPLC,KPC,NCPB, NIB, KEMSA. Basically every government parastatal is a cash cow.

Thank God Baba went quiet. By now the narrative would have been twisted to a well funded anti-raila propaganda. Ooh, Raila is anti-development. With MPs holding rallies countrywide and denouncing Kenya's enemy of development.

Sasa kitaeleweka.

Ha ha... Very true. If baba had brought up these things za NYS scandals, we jubilants would have fought him with politics, calling him all sorts of names through Moses Kuria and all the other dawgs we can unleash on him... But anyway, nothing personal there, hivyo ndivyo siasa inachapangwa Kenya.

Swali nyeti ni, would baba be angry because money was stolen or because it was stolen by people from the other side.

BBI will solve it

Of course Rao's fight against corruption is not always benign and well-intentioned as he makes it to look. But it's a fight all the same. Remember apostle Paul's sermon, that some people preach the gospel with hidden motives but in all cases, the gospel is still being preached.

But I saw the people daily with a headline about a corruption scam in the health ministry and was taken aback. People daily ? Lamenting about corruption ? In Uhuru's government ?
Just who is pulling the strings behind the curtains ?

I am at a point where I empathize with Uhuru and his belated attempt at creating a legacy worth talking about. But looking at his fight against corruption, it is clear the whole thing is scripted.

A look at the auditor general reports in the last few years is all he would need to deal corruption a fatal blow. But they decided Ouko is an enemy who needs to be fought.

NIB and KPC scandals may surprise nobody. And they have nothing to do with junior procurement and accounting guys. It goes all the way to the top.

As for NMG, this scripted unleashing of scandals makes the whole thing too suspicious.

Everything human runs on scripts. The question is only about the quality and intent of the script.

In Kenya, the script is for maintaining a long established equilibrium.

Kenya can't exist without corruption.

I don't know if Magufuli's efforts are for the longer term because right now, there's zero development happening in Tz. No government official is willing to lift a finger for anything for fear of being victimized or magufulied.

Everybody must contribute to the development of the Country. Taxation will raise the consciousness of the masses so they can start demanding accountability from leaders and lead in Citizen's arrest of thieves.
