Time: 11th June, 16:00 local time.(Kenyan Time 17:00
Venue: Johannesburg – JSC, South Africa
An important game for all Africans.....
The teams have only met twice before – once in 2000 and once in 2005. Mexico won the first 4-2, but in the second meeting five years ago South Africa won 2-1.
While Mexico are stronger on paper, South Africa are working hard to prepare for the cup and have the home advantage. I could easily see South Africa scoring the first goal, propelled by the home support and defendeding the lone goal to the end. A possible candidate for this first goal would be Benni McCarthy. The final score will be 1-0 in favour of South Africa.

@Pastor M: I think the Mexicans would be very annoyed if that happened considering that McCarthy is not even in the team!

@Pastor M. What?!! McCarthty was dropped from the squad for being overweight.

Mphela will score for SA...but I am not sure they will win. But wishing them all the best.

South Africa will make history as the first host country of the world cup to be eliminated after the first round..I just don't see them going past mexico.

With thousands of South Africans blowing the notorious 'Vuvuzela' this match is going to be interesting at the very least. If SA scores the first goal, good luck anyone hearing anything from that point forward.

Probably the most pampered team, has been in camp the longest, anointed by Mandela, playing at home, Sangomas hoping to influence and put the Mexicans in a trance - not forgetting the vuvuzelas! If the Mexicans pull this one, they'll be going far in the competition.
