Assuming that religious organisations are ran by forthright people, then I do not expect there to be any problem with compliance. All that KRA has to do is write to them and they should do the right thing.
But I guess my assumption is probably too much to expect! Hata hizo donations should be taken as income and taxed. Tax donations? What is the rationale? Taxing tithes and offerings makes no sense but I agree commercial income should be taxed. @ , what would you say about pastors who sell hankies, olive oil, holy water etc and get 'donations' in return. i think this kind of transactions can be categorised as business and taxed If you are an eagle don't hang around with chickens; chickens don't fly....
